Emmanuel Lutheran Church and School’s 18th Annual Pumpkin Festival
The Emmanuel Lutheran School’s 18th Annual Pumpkin Festival will be held on Friday, October 23rd for one night only. There will be a Pumpkin Patch filled with hundreds of pumpkins for purchase, game booths, a Kids’ Store, and jumping castles. Celebrate all things fall at this family-friendly event where there is something for everyone. The pumpkin smoothies are delicious! There will also be live entertainment, ‘ono food, crafters, a silent auction, a Used Book Fair, and a Country Store filled with homemade items. The festival runs from 3:00 to 10:00 p.m. on the school campus at 520 W. One St. in Kahului. Entrance to the event is free!

October is Pumpkin Patch Season and it is open season on pumpkins and gourds of all sizes for eating or decorating! Special events include the famous walk-through corn maze, pumpkin pie, pumpkin carving, and costume contests. The farm will also feature a Country Music Center, Halloween crafts, delicious goodies, pumpkin carving supplies, local crafters and food vendors and more!

Celebrate Halloween early with a spook-tacular Aquarium sleepover! Roll out your sleeping bags next to the Open Ocean Exhibit filled with large sharks, rays, and other predators of the deep. Lay alongside the Sea Jellies cylinder and watch the ghost-like jellyfish eerily drift in the water column. Take the Creepy Creatures Scavenger Hunt to discover warty frogfish, slithering eels, toothy sharks, and more bizarre sea critters that lurk in Hawaiian waters!
Explore the Living Reef together after dark and enjoy ocean-themed activities, hands-on marine life lessons, plus much more! This sleepover activity includes marine naturalist guided activities, movie time snacks, continental breakfast, a souvenir decal, and all day admission to the Aquarium the next day! For kids ages 6-13. Each child must be accompanied by an adult 21 years or older.

Children ages 3-12 are invited to a captivating story time followed by a fun ocean-themed craft! Story Time Saturdays are hosted by a marine naturalist and takes place every Saturday at 11:30am in Maui Ocean Center’s Hawaiians and the Sea exhibit.
Talk Story & Hula Lessons with Kahu Dane Maxwell and ‘Ohana
Tuesdays in October at 11:45am
Visitors to Maui Ocean Center will have an extraordinary opportunity to hear from Maui Ocean Center’s Hawaiian Cultural Advisor Kahu Dane Maxwell. At 11:45am, Kahu Dane Maxwell and ‘Ohana (family) will conduct a talk story session and hula lesson at the end of the Open Ocean exhibit tunnel. Schedule subject to change. Appropriate for all ages.
Bark in the Park Event
Bark in the Park will be held at the Keopuolani Park in Kahului on Saturday, October 24th, at 9am.
Registration Information:
Before October 24th you can register at the Maui Humane Society at 1350 Mehameha Loop in Puunene.
On October 24th, you can register onsite starting at 7:30am
Pre-Race packet pick up will be held at the Maui Humane Society Shelter at 1350 Mehameha Loop in Puunene on Friday, October 23rd from 1pm-3pm. Online registration will close on Wednesday, October 21st at 11:55PM, but day of registration will be held at the marked registration table in Keopuolani Park from Starting at 7:30am. Day of packet pick up will also take place at the registration table beginning at 7:30am.
Event Times: Run and walk waves begin at 9am. The Pet Expo will start at 8am and run until 12 noon.
Run/Walk Start Times: Runners and walkers participating in one 1.5 Mile loop will start at 9am. Runners and walkers participating in the 5K will start at 9:30am.
The Course: Walkway/path along Keopuolani Pkwy.
Arrival: Registration and packet pick up begin at 7:30am. If you are unable to pre-register or pick up your packet before the morning of the 24th, it is recommended that you arrive no later than 8am.
Parking: The park can be accessed by Kanaloa Avenue. and there are two parking lots on Keopuolani Parkway. Volunteers will be onsite to direct you.

Stop by the pet expo from 8am-12 noon and check out the cool pet friendly products, services and businesses Maui has to offer.
Maui Dog Agility: Will be onsite performing demonstrations starting at 10:30am. “Taste of Agility” will follow where participants will have the opportunity to teach their pet how to navigate an obstacle with the guidance of Maui Agility members.
Food and Beverage: will be available for purchase from Tutu’s Shave Ice. Water stops will also be available.
