Billed as “The most outstanding Block Party of the Year”, Akakū is hosting the 6th Maui Walk of Heroes Celebration on Saturday, November 9, 2019, from 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm. The event will take place in front of the Akakū Studios located at 333 Dairy Road, Kahului.
 
We will enshrine in cement the hand and footprints of four of Maui Nui’s favorite heroes: Kumu hula and world-renowned Hawaiian music icon, Keali’i Reichel; Sierra Club president and Akakū producer, Lucienne deNaie; the Hawaii Wildlife Fund’s warrior for our ocean, Hannah Bernard; and Molokai’s Ambassador of Aloha, Uncle Pilipo Solatorio.
 
This free, family and pet friendly event will feature our always entertaining good friend, Andy Bumatai as Master of Ceremonies, dancing music by the Andy Kaina band and surprise musical guests.

Come join us on November 9th for the 4th annual Lahainaluna High School Festival, I KA NANI O LELE. Enjoy an evening of family fun, food and entertainment, as locals and visitors join together to celebrate and support the student activities, events and athletics of Lahainaluna High School.

Festival attractions include Maui’s favorite eateries and food trucks, local artisans and vendors presenting their crafts and clothing, game booths and keiki activities, a fabulous silent auction, and amazing entertainment. The line-up of talented Maui musicians include Kaleo Phillips, Justin Philips, George Kahumoku Jr. and Marvin Tevaga, as well as performances by Lahainaluna Hawaiian Club and Lahainaluna Filipino Club.

This is an AWESOME chance to volunteer and help out local KIDS across Maui County! Every year there is a BICYCLE build of 500 bikes for boys and girls across Maui. However, we need volunteers to come out and help build them! Even if your not mechanically inclined there is so many other things that need to get done! Please try to come out for just a few hours on a Saturday to help out the kiddos! If you cannot attend, hopefully you can share this and get others to come!
