Meet the Hawaiian green sea turtles during Turtle-rriffic Thursday at Maui Ocean Center! Join a team of aquarists as they measure, weigh, and examine the turtles during their routine checkup. Learn about green sea turtle biology, behavior, diet, and more.

Behind-the-Scenes Tour

Go behind-the-scenes with a marine naturalist to explore the Aquarium lab and discover what it takes to care for the marine animals. Learn about corals, sharks, and sea turtles with the exclusive opportunity to feed the marine animals at Turtle Lagoon and Hammerhead Harbor. Limited availability, reservations are highly recommended. $14.95 plus admission.

Story Time Saturdays

Complimentary with Aquarium admission. Appropriate for ages 3-12. Maui Ocean Center, The Aquarium of Hawaii offers a weekly story time and craft hour for children ages 3-12 in the Hawaiians and the Sea exhibit. Enjoy a story reading by a marine naturalist followed by a fun, ocean-themed craft workshop.

Join a Wet Naturalist at the Tide Pool and/or Discovery Pool for a hands-on presentation about Hawaii’s marine invertebrates! Engage with a marine naturalist presenting from within the exhibit to see, touch, and learn about sea stars, sea cucumbers, urchins and more spineless sea creatures.

Speak with an ocean expert at Maui Ocean Center’s Exploration Station! This winter season, the Exploration Station will feature Hawaii’s endemic marine life (animals found only in Hawaii) and the relationship between the Hawaiians and the sea. Complimentary with Aquarium admission.

Evening Chore Tour
