Join us on May 31st for our 4th annual Huliau Youth Environmental Film Festival presented by Rising Sun Solar and CDF Engineering LLC. Celebrate with students from 13 Maui schools as they present the short environmental films that they have created this year as part of our Huliau Youth Environmental Filmmaking Club!

Last year’s event sold out with almost 400 people attending so get your tickets soon.

Water is a public resource that is vital to sustaining our communities, and must be conserved for present and future generations. Water rights are a topic with environmental impact and potential repercussions for all who live and work in these islands. Ola I Ka Wai focuses on decisions and actions by the State Water Commission, including the diversion of water from streams for private use. The film is 30 minutes, followed by talk-story discussion and Q&A session with some of the film’s participants. The program will be moderated by Hōkūlani Holt, Cultural Programs Director at MACC. Tickets $10.
