The Maui Grand Slam kicks off with five (5) days of basketballMAUI’s 6th Annual NEXT LEVEL Basketball Camp in gyms throughout Maui. basketballMAUI is pleased to announce that the Jeremy Lin Foundation is a major sponsor of our Next Level Camp. Pro Players, including Anthony Tolliver, CJ Watson, Garrett Temple and Malcolm Thomas will be visiting camp, meeting the kids and sharing tips on taking life and the game to the next level. All campers receive a T-shirt, photo and free admission to Night of Shooting Stars.
Basketball Skills Camps emphasize extensive skill development, intensity, enthusiasm, leadership, and teamwork. basketballMAUI gathers high quality coaches to provide the best basketball skills training for boys & girls, ages 7-13 held at Lahaina Civic Center and Kamehameha Schools. Our “Next Level” Advanced Player Camp, held at War Memorial Gymnasium, is for advanced High School athletes ages 14-19 who want a very competitive camp experience. Thursday, June 25, 2015, the Grand Wailea Ballroom will be host to basketballMAUI’s 2nd Annual Poker with the Pros charity poker tournament. Poker with the Pros 2014 was a sold out event, so purchase your tickets now!
Guests get to meet and greet celebrity players including a lineup of NBA Stars, Anthony Tolliver of the Detroit Pistons, Garrett Temple of the Washington Wizards and CJ Watson of the Indiana Pacers, as well as PGA Pro Brett Gorney, NY Times Bestselling Author and Speaker, Jeff Bethke, and other professional athletes and local celebrities. In addition the poker tournament, there will be delicious heavy pupus and desserts prepared by chefs at the Grand Wailea, craps, roulette and blackjack tables, DJ BOOM mixing lounge music, swag bags and more! 5TH ANNUAL NIGHT OF SHOOTING STARS

5th Annual Night of Shooting Stars is a celebrity and professional exhibition basketball game scheduled on June 27, 2015. Last year, more than 2400 basketball fans filled the stadium to watch celebrity and professional players go head-to-head. This year, we will see more than a dozen NBA and celebrity participants playing at the Wailea Tennis Club outdoor stadium, including NBA players, Anthony Tolliver of the Detroit Pistons, CJ Watson of the Indiana Pacers as well as our own Mayor Arakawa. Fill up on gourmet grinds from Cow Pig Bun, get autographs after the game and win prizes, all while supporting Maui’s youth! Tip off time is at 6pm and doors open at 5pm. This event is sponsored by KarMART Maui and is an annual fundraiser for basketballMAUI youth programs. General Admission tickets are $20, VIP court-side tickets are $50. Ever wonder what happens to young honu, or Hawaiian green sea turtles, after they hatch and make their way to the open ocean? Discover a “honu” world with a Marine Naturalist as your guide. You’ll learn about the “Lost Years”, find out how the turtles at the Aquarium are cared for. Talk Story & Hula Lessons with Kahu Dane Maxwell and ‘Ohana

Learn about Hawaii’s beloved green sea turtles in an up close and personal setting. Guests will learn about the biology, behavior and diet of green sea turtles from the team that cares for the animals on a daily basis. This activity is included with Aquarium admission.
