The 21st Annual Lawn & Garden Fair is hosted by Maui Association of Landscape Professionals. The Lawn & Garden Fair will offer events and activities including landscape vendors, Artscapes a living art exhibition, educational presentations, non-profit information booths, university experts, and plant sales.

Sleep with the Sharks

Roll out your sleeping bags next to the majestic Open Ocean exhibit or mesmerizing Sea Jellies cylinder. Explore the Living Reef after dark, whale themed activities, hands-on marine life lessons, and more! Includes ocean naturalist guided activities, movie time snacks, continental breakfast, a souvenir decal, and all day admission to the Aquarium the next day! Reservations are required; space is limited. For ages 6-13. Each child must be accompanied by an adult 21+ years. Group Sleep with the Sharks dates also available.
Turtle-rrific Thursday

Learn about Hawaii’s beloved green sea turtles in an up close and personal setting. Guests will learn about the biology, behavior and diet of green sea turtles from the team that cares for the animals on a daily basis. This activity is included with Aquarium admission.
Behind-the-Scenes Tour
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays

Go behind-the-scenes with a marine naturalist to explore the Aquarium lab and discover what it takes to care for the marine animals at Maui Ocean Center. Learn about sharks and turtles and enjoy the unique opportunity to feed the marine life at Turtle Lagoon and Hammerhead Harbor. Talk Story & Hula Lessons with Kahu Dane Maxwell and ‘Ohana

Kahu Dane Maxwell and ‘Ohana (family) will conduct a talk story session and hula lesson at the Hawaiians and the Sea exhibit. This activity is complimentary with aquarium admission and appropriate for all ages.
Wet Naturalist
Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Join a Wet Naturalist at the Discovery Pool and/or Tide Pool for exciting hands-on presentations on Hawaii’s marine invertebrates. Along with learning all about sea cucumbers, sea stars and urchins, guests will have the chance to touch a few of the live spineless creatures! Included with Aquarium admission.
Exploration Station
Thursdays and Sundays
11:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Featuring a monthly, rotating-themed Exploration Station at The Living Reef! Speak with a marine naturalist, see live animals, look through microscopes, and interact with other station features. Learn about crustaceans in May, sharks and rays in June, and corals in July. Animals and details subject to change. Included with Aquarium admission and appropriate for all ages.
