Keiki will have the opportunity to make a FREE potted plant for dad, while supplies last.

One lucky attendee will WIN a “lanai garden,” an array of potted plants, both edible and ornamental.  To enter, visit Maui Mall’s Center Stage to get your “passport” for the event.

Educational talks will occur throughout the day at the center stage area.  These talks will range from container gardening to the best kalo varieties for your home garden.  A schedule of talks will be available at www.malp.org.

FREE soil pH testing and plant pest diagnosis will be available.  For soil testing, bring 2 cups of soil in a bag and visit our soil testing booth.  If you have plant pest or disease issues, bring in a sample in a bag for diagnosis at the Master Gardener’s booth.   Don’t forget about the “Ask The Experts” booth for any of your horticulture questions.

Also, visit the 7th Annual Artscapes – A Living Art Exhibition.  “This is a great opportunity for garden creators and artists to show what they can do.  ArtScapes entries in the past years have given the public a chance to experience creative and fresh new ideas for their own gardens and meet the people who created them,” says Gary Mohrlang, owner of Islandscapes, LLC.  Cash prizes for the top three winners and a Peoples’ Choice award.

Come and see the presentation of the Malama I Ka Aina Award, presented to a community member who strives to preserve native plants and prevent invasive species.  The recipient will be receiving a beautiful glass sculpture plaque made by Jupiter Nielsen.  This award is presented by MISC, MALP and the County of Maui.
