4th of July Celebration in Lahaina

5:30PM – 10:00PM Lahaina Town Stroll historic Lahaina and enjoy holiday specials in many oceanview restaurants and town shops. For an old-fashioned Independence Day celebration, listen to a variety of bands play in a free concert on the oceanfront Lahaina Library lawn starting at 5 pm. A fireworks display lighting the night sky over Lahaina’s roadstead is scheduled for 8 pm. Fireworks can be viewed from charter boats in Lahaina Harbor and on land throughout Lahaina Town.

“59th Annual Makawao Rodeo,”Oskie Rice Arena, Olinda

Thu & Fri: 9 am, free admission: Qualifying Runs, all day. Bull Bash at 7 pm on Friday, $15 adults. 
Sat & Sun: 1 pm: Rodeo: bull-riding, team-roping, calf-roping, bronc riding, mugging, barrel racing, break-away. Live band after Rodeo on Saturday.
Sat & Sun rodeo admission: $15 adults, $10 for seniors and students, $5 kids. Free shuttle Saturday to and from town to watch the parade. Info: 357-3524

“49th Annual Makawao Paniolo Parade,” Makawao

This year’s theme: “Celebrate the Paniolo”
8:45 am: Stick Horse Race. All are invited.
9-11 am: Colorful Hawaiian Style Wild West Parade, complete with Rodeo Royalty, Beauty Queens, foliage draped Pa’u Riders, Classic Cars, decked-out Cowboys & Cowgirls, music & floats competing for coveted trophies. There will be NO PARKING in town. Parking at the Oskie Rice Arena Rodeo Grounds and take the FREE SHUTTLE to the parade from 7a-9a, and back to Rodeo Grounds beginning at 11:30 am.
