MAPA’s Teen Musical Theatre Camp students present this inspiring story of a group of teenagers in a high school for the performing arts in New York City. Rated PG. Hui No’eau Family Day 572-6560
The Hui’s annual celebration of its Youth Art Exhibition will be held on Saturday, July 27th from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm: Family Day: A Community Celebration of the Arts.
This exhibition features artwork created by 200+ Camp Kaluanuiparticipants and will be on display in our main gallery until Friday, August 2nd.
Oodles of fun activities and surprises will complement the event, including face painting, a drop-in keiki workshop, free scavenger hunt (first 50 guests only!), food & art sales, kite flying and more- pack a picnic blanket and plan to spend the day!
The community exchange is a moneyless consignment. Parents bring clothes their kids have grown out of and trade them for new sizes (infant- preteen sizes). The kids fair is all free- giant bounce house, games, bbq, and shave ice.

Maui Mall is saying farewell to summer vacation with a splash at its Family Sundays event thisSunday, July 28 from noon to 2 p.m. The free event will include water fountain games, scavenger hunts and eating contests for kids and adults. More than $1,000 in prizes will be given away as part of the Super Shopper Stamp Card drawing.

The student nomination and recognition portion of Family Sundays will resume in August. Maui teachers are encouraged to nominate an outstanding student to be recognized and entered to win an iPad Mini at next month’s Maui Mall Family Sundays event on August 25.
Student winners chosen between the months of March and November will have a chance to win a MacBook Air notebook onJanuary 26, 2014 during the Maui Mall Family Sundays finale event.

Live music on the main stage, ‘ono grinds from some of the island’s best food vendors, over 60 artisan craft booths featuring many handmade items, and the Keiki Youth Zone–a special destination for all keiki ages K-12. The Keiki Youth Zone (KYZ) has keiki friendly craft booths, fun live performances and many interactive activities such as hula hooping, painting, crafts, gigantic bubbles, balloon making, face painting and audience participation on stage. Every Fourth Friday party the KYZ will feature a special hour for all the youth of Maui to shine on stage. 4th KHFMA Birthday Bash and Ridge to Reef Celebration Community Event
This month marks the four-year anniversary of the Kahekili Herbivore Fisheries Management Area (KHFMA), a marine managed area located in North Ka‘anapali, implementing a first-of-its-kind fisheries management strategy. To celebrate this area and the coral reefs it aims to protect, a Birthday Bash and Ridge to Reef Celebration will take place Sunday, July 28 from 9am to 2pm at Kahekili Beach Park.
The jam-packed family-friendly event will feature: a complimentary barbecue, a ridge to reef-themed Culinary Contest, Hawai‘i’s First-Ever Seaweed Eating Competition, a reef snorkel tour with ocean experts, the Great Annual Fish Count, water quality sampling, and a Savvy Shopper Relay Race. Prizes include accommodation stays and meals at Ka‘anapali Beach Hotel, the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, the Westin Ka‘anapali Ocean Resort Villas and other prizes donated by local tour operators and restaurants.
