On Wailuku First Friday, the MAPA School Partnerships Educational Theatre Tour invites the public to TWO performances of The Fisherman And His Wife. This charming 40-minute show has been delighting students and teachers alike in schools all over Maui. All ages welcome.

Friday, February 2nd

WFF will include live music and entertainment:

  • Maui Thing Stage (6:30-9pm): ZuhG. – a funky Reggae jam band on tour from the West Coast
  • Wailuku Banyan Tree Park (6-9pm): Natalie Nicole Band
  • Kipuka Square (7-8pm): Breakdancing
  • MAPA:  “The Fisherman and His Wife” starring Kathy Collins – FREE performance with 6:15pm and 7:15pm showtimes at MAPA Main Warehouse (2027 Main St.)

Aquari-OM Yoga

Tuesday, February 6th & 20th

5:30 PM, 75 minute class.

Yoga with sharks, rays, and hundreds of fish at Maui Ocean Center’s Open Ocean exhibit! Yoga has been known to increase strength and concentration while decreasing stress and illness. Humpback Whale Explore Station

Sundays and Tuesdays in February and March

11:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Learn about Hawaii’s humpback whales with a marine naturalist at Maui Ocean Center! A special Explore
Station includes samples of what whales eat (krill and herring), baleen (feeding method), whale fluke identification, whale songs, and information about the anatomy and behaviors of humpback whales. Complimentary with Aquarium admission. Appropriate for all ages.

Ti Leaf Lei Demonstration

Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays in February, March, and April

2:00 – 3:00 PM

Visit Maui Ocean Center to learn the art, history, and cultural significance of lei making with a Cultural Practitioner. Includes a hands-on demonstration and a free lei for each participant. Complimentary with Aquarium admission. Appropriate for all ages.

Ukulele Lessons

Five guests per class, appropriate for ages 12 and up.

Explore Hawaii’s undersea world at Maui Ocean Center and learn how to play one of Hawaii’s most iconic musical instruments – the ukulele! Complimentary with Aquarium admission, space is limited.

Maui Chamber Orchestra “Young Artists Showcase” Concert

Featuring the winners of our very first Youth Concerto Competition — Yxing Guo (violin), Ylang Guo (violin), and Bryce Clearing Sky (piano) — along with Jonah Ellsworth, an up and coming cello phenom from Boston.
