“Let’s Get Country”, one of a two part event series has been slated for Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm at the center court. “We are excited to be celebrating our own Paniolo”, says Jacqueline Perreira, General Manager. The event will include entertainment by Maui’s own Country Knights and performing artist Teri Garrison of Honolulu. Three of Maui’s own ranches, Haleakala, Ulupalakua and Kaonoulu Ranch will participate in a ranch panel to “talk story” and answer questions regarding ranching on Maui. In addition, Makawao Museum will provide historical information. This event is free and the public is encouraged to wear their favorite Paniolo gear. Come face-to-face with Hawaiian green sea turtles during Turtlerrific Thursday at Maui Ocean Center. Beginning at 2pm, the Aquarium’s curatorial team will host an interactive presentation at Hammerhead Harbor. Guests will learn about the green sea turtles’ biology, behavior, and diet from the team that cares for the animals on a daily basis
