The countdown to a mega balloon drop will begin just before 12noon. DJ Big Mike will be spinning festive family tunes and giving away prizes valued from $5-100 including Fun Factory prize packs every 15 minutes (must be present to win). Featured will be the new QKC Resolution Wall where the public is invited to add their 2017 individual and family resolutions.

Go behind-the-scenes with a marine naturalist to explore the Aquarium lab and discover what it takes to care for the marine animals. Learn about corals, sharks, and sea turtles with the exclusive opportunity to feed the marine animals at Turtle Lagoon and Hammerhead Harbor. Maui Ocean Center, The Aquarium of Hawaii offers a weekly story time and craft hour for children ages 3-12 in the Hawaiians and the Sea exhibit. Wet Naturalist

Join a Wet Naturalist at the Tide Pool and/or Discovery Pool for a hands-on presentation about Hawaii’s marine invertebrates! Engage with a marine naturalist presenting from within the exhibit to see, touch, and learn about sea stars, sea cucumbers, urchins and more spineless sea creatures.

Speak with an ocean expert at Maui Ocean Center’s Exploration Station! This winter season, the Exploration Station will feature Hawaii’s endemic marine life (animals found only in Hawaii) and the relationship between the Hawaiians and the sea. Complimentary with Aquarium admission.
