Relax Upcountry at Makawao 3rd Friday Town Party “Dancing the Night Away” with Luna Overdrive, August 17th from 6-9 PM in Historic Makawao Town. Baldwin Avenue is closed from the top of Makawao Avenue down to Brewer Street, where guests joining our M3F block party may enjoy exciting entertainment, good eats on the street with lots of food trucks, arts and crafts, and the Komoda Bakery Keiki Zone delighting kids young and old. With plenty of great local shopping and restaurants, this rain or shine FREE community event is a great time for everyone!

World-class magician nationally known Timothy Wenk puts the WOW in Makawao, prepare to be dazzled, frazzled and mind-boggled at the Keiki Zone. Malama Land and Sea: Papalaua Beach Park

Malama (care for) Papalaua Wayside Park – the first beach out of the tunnel on Maui’s west side! Plans include removal of trash from the shoreline, and a volunteer snorkeling team to pull out marine debris like discarded fishing line, too. Playful Meditation: A Workshop for Families

In this 45-minute workshop for parents, children, and all interested parties, Swraj Karre will lead a playful exploration of ways to reset and ground oneself through music, movement, breathing, and active meditation. Swraj began learning and practicing meditation in his native India 17 years ago. Since 2012 he has held guided meditation workshops in India, Guatemala, Mexico, the mainland USA, and Hawai’i.

Offering elementary school students the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a caring and responsible mentor (typically a high school student) in a supervised group setting for one hour after school.
