Maui Humane Society

Come celebrate Freddie the Tortoise’s 15th Birthday at Maui Humane Society on Saturday, March 31st from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM.

How the Easter Egg Hunt will work this year:

There will be two seperate hunts this year, one at 11am (for keiki ages 5 and under), with a second hunt to follow at 11:30 AM (for keiki ages 6 and up). Participants will need to bring their own basket.

Hidden easter eggs will be empty, and redeemable for candy at the Redemption Table. This is so we can ensure that every participant gets candy regardless of how many eggs they find.

Golden Egg: Each hunt will include a Golden Egg – whoever finds it will receive a special prize!

Meet Freddie and all his friends! Our best-behaved shelter dogs will be cruising the event. Be sure to give them a good head scratch! You can also meet our adoptable cats in the cat ohana, and get to know the critters in our critter petting corner. April is critter month at MHS, which means you can pick your price to adopt any critter! In our free keiki zone, little ones can enjoy coloring, crafts and other fun activities.

Hungry? Make your own shave ice at the Kona Shave Ice truck, or enjoy a deliciously fresh brick oven pizza from Outrigger Pizza Truck – both will be available for purchase at the event. Face painting will also be available in the keiki zone for a suggested donation to benefit our shelter animals.

Catch Freddie digging into his very own tortoise-friendly birthday cake! Cake (for people) will follow immediately after the easter egg hunt.

And don’t forget to pick up a Freddie T-shirt at the merchandise table – kid sizes are available too!

We LOVE pets – but please don’t bring yours to this event. We’ve got plenty here already!

Don’t miss this fun, FREE event for all ages. It’s gonna be a blast!

The Color Festival Hawai’i

Maui Arts & Cultural Center
Sunday, APRIL 1
1:00 – 5:00 pm | Events Lawn

On Sunday, April 1, Hawai’i’s first annual Color Festival celebrates the color & diversity of life with great music, star-studded entertainment, dancing, and fun for the whole family.

The Festival of Colors is the modern American version of a traditional Holi Festival, celebrated every spring in India. It is a celebration of the victory of good over evil and of the arrival of spring and harvests to come. In the spirit of inclusion, celebrating the beauty of diversity and the uniqueness of each and every child, the spectacular and colorful explosion of the Color Festival Hawai’i event will feature energetic, nonstop, live music for dancing from DJ Boomshot, Eric Gilliom and Band, Shea Butter & The Cream, and the Yum Yum Beasts.

Also enjoy special guest performances from singers, actors, and stage celebrities, Teal Wicks and Matt Doyle, all leading to the moment the entire audience participates in the throwing of colors!
Enjoy some of Maui’s best food trucks and sweet treats as well. The message behind a color festival is “inclusion,” that we are all under the same one rainbow, living and celebrating life together.
Imua Family Services is proud to bring to Maui the Color Festival Hawai’i as a fundraiser and a friend-raiser, a family-friendly gathering, and a place for all children to be included.
TICKETS:
$20 (includes 1 color pak); $25 (includes 3 color paks); $15 keiki age 6-16 (includes 1 color pak); FREE for keiki up to 5 years
