Music Making, Singing, Hula and More with Miss Aubrey and Kumu Joy Salvador
La-ti-Da’s Summer Camp is a 1 week summer experience filled with exceptional opportunities for young children ages 4-6 or 7-10. Camps will explore jungle sounds through drumming, singing, instrument playing and hula.
Camp will be filled with fun, age appropriate activities that will introduce and teach children about music on a level that they can easily comprehend. Musical concepts with Miss Aubrey are learned through singing, chanting, dance, movement, drama and the playing of percussion instruments. Improvisation, composition and a child’s natural sense of play are encouraged.
Both Summer 2011 Camps children will take home their own hand -crafted instrument, Jungle Beat CD, Hawaiian instrument and t-shirt.

The Big Kids will explore music with science of sound experiments, creating their own instrument, rhythm and movement games, hula, learning to read simple rhythms as well as an introduction to playing recorder. Additionally the children will be learning Hawaiian culture, music vocabulary and introduction to reading music.
