While the staff at Seabury Hall has been working hard to adapt to online schooling during this unprecedented time, they have not forgotten about the local crafters and vendors who were meant to be participating in the 47th annual Seabury Hall Craft Fair on Saturday. The event, which normally attracts over 5000 residents and visitors to the Seabury Hall Campus each year, has been canceled. However, Craft Fair committee members have other plans to support these vendors. “As we approached the month of May, our thoughts turned to all of those who depend upon the income generated by craft fairs,” said Seabury Hall parent and volunteer event chairwoman, Dyvette Fong, “We recognize that many of our confirmed craft fair participants had spent money on supplies and may have inventory piled high in their homes and businesses.” The Craft Fair volunteer committee members, through a series of Zoom meetings, decided to host an Online Craft Fair. “We are excited about our current plans to help direct business to them online on our social media pages and on the school’s website,” exclaimed Fong.
“These crafters are part of our Seabury Hall Ohana and many have been participating in the fair for over 10 years,” said Parent Coordinator, Gayle Hart.

When asked about what it costs to participate, Hart said that Seabury Hall will not be collecting any fees or commission from the vendors who participate in the Seabury Hall Online Craft Fair, “We will do what we can to assist them during this time so they can return to participate in 2021.” For a full listing of vendors and to shop for locally crafted gifts, art, clothing, candles, soaps, pottery, and jewelry visit the Seabury Hall Craft Fair Facebook page and Instagram as well as on the Craft Fair page on the school’s website, SeaburyHall.org. “We are all in this together and we want to do our part in helping our island community,” stated Kimber Carhart, volunteer Craft Fair committee member.
