A truly fun and dynamic experience, CAMP KALUANUI helps spark creativity, engagement, discovery and self-expression while offering the fun, outdoor Kaluanui environment offering fresh air and room to explore. Programs are developed to offer each camper a unique experience that nurtures their individual creative spirit while building friendships, gaining artistic understanding, and- most importantly- having fun! During each week of full-day CAMP KALUANUI, our team of teaching artists will focus on a different theme, with activities in painting, clay, photography, digital media, sculpture, storytelling, theater, yoga, and then some!

Ceramics Studio
Prepare to be amazed at the bowls, cups, and vases created in this introductory ceramics class! Students will learn the basic elements of wheel throwing as well as more advanced techniques to add design and texture to work. Families are invited to attend the final session to view class work, pick up pieces, and meet your young artist’s new friends!

Claymazing! – Hand Building in Clay

CHILDREN’S STUDIO
Let your child’s imagination soar as visions come to life in clay! Keiki will put their hands to work as they plan and execute exciting ceramics projects that are both unique and functional. In addition to having a rewarding afterschool activity, young artists will also benefit from learning fundamental hand building techniques from slabs to sgraffito.

Children’s Studio
Children will learn creative processes that little hands can manage with help, using materials such as pastels, clay, paint and paper that stimulate creative impulses and fuel artistry. There will be music, stories, and lots of fun for all!
