March 12 – 16 / A Space Odyssey: Robots, Martians and Moon Boots, Oh My!

From creating tall tales about fantastical creatures living in faraway galaxies to building cyborg contraptions here to take over planet Earth, campers will be asked to stretch their imaginations to their most outer limits as they paint, build, dance, glue, and glitter their way through truly exceptional artistic adventures. Projects may include: Tin Relief Space Creatures, Alien Costumes and Comics, Block Print Planet Design, Outta-Sight Digital Light Portraits, Mixed Media Star Signs, and more!

 

March 19 – 23 / Super Size Me: Imaginative Magnitudes

Think BIG in this adventurous journey that includes gigantic paintings, Oldenburg-inspired sculpture blown-up digital landscapes and more. Campers will participate in hands-on activities such as storytelling, printmaking, hand building with clay, watercolor and a wide range of other activities that give big ideas a place to come alive. Projects may include: Gigantic Plexiglass Creepy Crawlies, Cartoons from an Ant’s Viewpoint, Painting our Landscape, Super Powers on Paper, Self Sized Self Portraits, and more!

 

March 26 – 30 / One Flew Over the Nene Nest: Exploring Hawaiian Habitats

Campers will discover the rich history of Kaluanui, visit with generations of artists that have graced its grounds and use the vast assortment of trees, plants and flowers as inspiration, medium and focal point in their final pieces. Projects may include: Java Sparrows and Myna Birds in Clay, Kaluanui Leaf Impressions, Survivor!, My Own Personal History Book, In the aka (shadow) of Heleakala, The Secret Garden, and more!
