Make a Scrapbook
Get a disposable camera and take pictures of everything you do that day. At the end of the day, get the photos developed and out them in a special Father’s Day album for dad. Not into scrap booking? No problem! Get out the video camera and record dad and the kids.
Switch Roles
Let the kids be dad for a day! Give them his shoes to try on, or a tie. Let them make the rules for the day. The kids will love the role play, and it will give dad a break from his daily dad duties!
Football Tournament
Get together with some friends and set up a football game or tournament. Kids vs dads, if they are old enough, or mix the teams up. It gets everyone outside and exercising, and who doesn’t love a little competition?
Pack a Picnic
Does dad have a love for food? Make his favorites, and pack them up for a picnic! Ask him about the first time he ate each thing. Sharing stories will give the kids a chance to learn more about their dad and bring everyone closer together.

Young keiki love to dig around in the dirt, so let them! Get some vegetable seeds or a young tree and show the kids how to plant them. They will love watching the plants grow, and they will have a reminder of their special day with dad.
Photo Opp!
Cheesy family photos? Perfect! Take a picture with dad every year, and watch as the keiki grow. This is a great time to get creative with your pictures. Make a sign or a banner that says “Happy Father’s Day!” and put it in the picture. Pile the kids on top of dad, or make a human pyramid! The hilarity of the pictures will grow as your children do!
