Games, food, book fair and lots of family fun! Don’t be late for a very important date at the Roots School Children’s Fair on Saturday, February 11 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Roots School in Haiku! The theme this year is “Alice in Wonderland.” Join us down the rabbit hole for family fun that will include games, a cake walk, used book sale, face painting, balloon twisting, online auction, hot dogs, pizza and popcorn, and more! This event is open to the public, there will be a $15 per person entrance fee, and all proceeds benefit Roots School’s Tuition Aid Program. The Hui’s Family Thursdays are designed for children ages 3-10 and an adult parent or guardian to create artwork together. Offered once a month, each workshop features a new hands-on project for families to participate in together. Projects are often seasonally inspired and might include projects like tie-dying, collage, or DIY spring flower pots. Family Thursday workshops require one child and one parent/guardian to participate, special consideration will be given to a parent/guardian wanting to register with more than one child. Runners and non-runners alike are welcomed back in person for the 11th annual Maui 5K Run and Walk on Sunday, March 5, 2022. Participants can choose to take part in a timed 5K run/walk or an untimed 1-mile walk, and each registrant can indicate which school they’d like to support on their registration form.

36th Annual Ho’omau

This is their annual benefit concert to support the Hawaiian language immersion preschool students at Pūnana Leo o Maui in Wailuku.
