Hidden eggs, yummy chocolate, and baskets full of treats…Easter is awesome! Here are a few fun ways to make the traditional Easter activities even more fun!

easter activities 1Easter egg hunt on the beach

Have an easter egg hunt on the beach! While the kids play in the water, have the parents hide plastic eggs around the beach. Set parameters so everyone knows not to go too far. Have them place them in the cooler, in a hole in the sand, on the beach chair. Just have fun with it.

Once ready, let the kids use a sand bucket as their baskets, and let them run around to find the plastic easter eggs.

Tips! Be sure to pick up all of the eggs at the end, no one wants plastic left on our beaches. And don’t fill the eggs with chocolate, that could make for a gooey mess in the hot sun.

Coloring eggs and other fun stuff

Why should Easter eggs get all the coloring fun? Have a fun pancake coloring bar this Easter. Here’s the how to:

  1. Make your pancake mix as you usually would.
  2. Poor a little bit of the batter into different bowls, or add the batter to bottles so that you can then squeeze the batter out into the pan.
  3. Add food coloring into the batter – mix just a little to make them more pastel.
  4. Cook the pancakes as you usually would.

Let the kids add “decorations” such as whipped cream or fruit. Eat and enjoy!
