Waiola Church 200th Anniversary Celebration

Waiola Church, formerly Waineʻe Church, founded in 1823 by Queen Keōpūolani, has been a community cornerstone for nearly 200 years. In celebration of those 200 years, the church will be hosting events on Memorial Weekend. The public is invited to the main event on Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 9 am to 8 pm to enjoy entertainment, historical presentations, cultural demonstrations, craft vendors, and culminating in a lūʻau dinner.
The community is welcome to enjoy the activities throughout the day at no cost. The lūʻau will be a ticketed event with tickets being available online.
The celebration is made possible with support from the County of Maui’s Office of Economic Development, HK West Maui Community Fund, Kalei’s Lunch Box, and the many congregational volunteers who continually hold up the mission of the church.
