Taste of School Gardens

March 9, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm

$150 – $1600

Premier local food event, Taste of School Gardens, takes place Saturday March 9th at the Maui Tropical Plantation. This annual benefit for Grow Some Good features delicious creations utilizing locally sourced ingredients from 11 top Maui restaurants, plus live music by local band Three to 5, and exciting live and silent auctions.

This important community fundraiser supports Grow Some Good’s school garden program, which provides hands-on, outdoor education in the form of working school gardens. These integrated learning experiences help cultivate curiosity about natural life cycles, connect students to their food sources, and inspire better nutrition choices for more than 4,000 youth in 10 schools throughout Maui.

Featuring chefs from: The Mill House, Cow Pig Bun, Duo at the Four Seasons Maui, Fleetwood’s on Front Street, Fork & Salad, Maui Breadfruit Company, Moku Roots, Old Lahaina Luau, Outrigger Pizza Company, Sarento’s on the Beach and Taverna. Beverages by Maui Wine, Maui Brewing Co., Valley Isle Kombucha, Chambers and Chambers and additional wines and non-alcoholic options will be available.

Sponsored by Boeing, Pacific Biodiesel and Maiden Hawaii Naturals, Maui Time Weekly, Maui No Ka Oi, Maui Tropical Plantation, and Sustainable Island Products. In partnership with Maui Huliau Foundation, Taste of School Gardens is a zero-waste event.
