Observe & Play Family Day

We invite families to visit Schaefer International Gallery and discover contemporary expressions of Micronesian artistry! The exhibition Ocean of Peace features six artists of Micronesian heritage based in Hawai‘i: James Bamba, Carol Ann Carl, Gillian Dueñas, Kalany Omengkar, Anthony Watson, and Lissette Yamase. Meet each of the artists at various art-making and activity stations: add your touch to a community mural painting, learn Chamorro palm leaf weaving, make your own Palauan kite, play with words in poetry, and more!
