Makawao 3rd Friday Town Party: “Mele Kalikimaka Makawao”

Makawao, Maui, Hawaii – Hope you can join us Friday, December 21, 2018 from 6-9 PM in Historic Makawao Town celebrating Makawao Mele Kalikimaka, a bright Hawaiian island greeting that we send to you from our Makawao Merchants Ohana to yours, with a magical, wonderful lineup of holiday cheer!

Baldwin Avenue is closed from the top of Makawao Avenue down to Brewer Street beginning 5:15 pm. Guests joining our M3F town party can enjoy free entertainment, a variety of Maui’s food trucks and booths, arts and crafts, the Keiki Zone with magic, interactive activities, and especially our Makawao merchants with great local shopping and restaurants. This is a rain or shine FREE community event.

The main stage will be featuring all-time M3F favorite Capt. Randolph S. Coon with the Haiku Hillbillys from 6:00 -8:45 pm.

Enjoy a very special appearance with the Maui Madrigals, a cappella singing group costumed in Renaissance garb starting 6 pm strollin’ through town on their way to the main stage 7:15-7:30 pm. during band break.

Kathy Collins, actress, storyteller, comedian and proud Maui girl, will enliven us as Maui’s all-time favorite MC extraordinaire who will share her “Tita’s Night Before Christmas”.

TOYS 4 TOTS at Makawao 3rd Friday ~ ‘Tis the Season for Giving
The United States Marines, Street Bikers United Maui Chapter, the community and area businesses come together to support the Salvation Army and Maui’s Keiki during the holiday season. All donations stay in Maui County and help all the deserving keiki from Molokai to Hana to Lahaina to Wailuku. Thousands of toys, games, sports equipment and gift cards are given out annually. Find our big wrapped donation box in the Komoda Bakery Keiki Zone next to Santa Derek! Please offer unwrapped gifts only. You may also find donor forms at the M3F info booth (all proceeds are 100% tax deductible).

Santa Derek took a hiatus from the frigid weather up in the North Pole to spend some time on Maui with our Keiki creating a positive and friendly Santa experience in the Komoda Keiki Zone, 6-8pm.

The delightful Makawao Elementary School “Dance Time” will perform at the top of Baldwin Avenue starting 6:00 pm. Dance Time is an after-school program where students learn and perform routines, developing confidence through singing, acting, and dancing.

MORE ENTERTAINMENT
• Maui’s well-known and beloved Josh will be performing in the Maui Hands lot, across from Casanova Restaurant.
• Melissa Buck of Rainbow Art and her one-of-a-kind creative face painting
• You will reminisce in the delightful Pearl Rose, entertainer and performer with her diverse repertoire of old tunes that you will remember with pleasure on the lanai of Antique Boutique.
• The wonderful Maui Classic Cruisers Club will be showing off their hot rods, muscle cars, and vintage machines at the top of Baldwin Avenue to the bottom by Brewer Road. Guests can talk story with some of Maui’s coolest car owners, aunties, uncles and Makawao historians. Such a treasure for all!
• Come & visit our M3F Info tent — a place where friendly volunteers will answer questions, you can view our vendor map and purchase awesome Makawao Town t-shirts and totes. You may also contribute to TOYS 4 TOTS gift vouchers and sign up for a free Makawao merchant tote bag.

M3F FOOD COURT & RESTAURANTS:
Guests may join us for dinner at one of our many award-winning Makawao Restaurants and enjoy our pop-up food court along Baldwin Avenue. Lots of new vendors are joining our regular M3Fs adding a variety of great eats and treats
