56th Annual Makawao Parade & Concert

The annual Makawao Parade starts at 9 am with the parade route starting at Makawao Elementary School and ending at Makawao Ave./Makani Rd. Intersection. At noon head to the Oskie Rice Event Center for a country concert with Jordan Soon, Wai-Knot, Halu Keala Kahinano O Puna & Te ohi Nui. Parking at Oski Rice Arena for $5 cash only with free shuttles to Makwao Town and back.

Keiki Mo‘olelo Storytime

The Wailuku Library will host a keiki moʻolelo storytime and hula session with Kumu Kehaunani Kaʻauwai & Kumu Wilmont Kahaialiʻi. To celebrate, share, and explore the moʻolelo of Ōpae e, a childrenʻs story in the adventure series of Kana and Hina, and a hula based on the Kahakuloa legend.
