Entertainment, Food, and Fun at the ‘Ohana Fest

Ho’oikaika Partnership is hosting the 2nd Annual ʻOhana Fest this Saturday at the Maui Nui Botanical Gardens. There will be live entertainment and free food while supplies last, plus raffle giveaways, and much more. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the many resources available to families on Maui and each booth will have a cultural activity for your keiki to enjoy.


School Fundraising Event:  Spring Fair on Friday, April 21st from 5 – 10 pm at Sacred Hearts, Lāhāina.


A Birthday Party at the Banyan Tree

The Lāhāina Restoration Foundation will commemorate the Lāhāina Banyan Tree’s 150th anniversary with a free birthday party. Keiki can make special cards using a banyan tree rubber stamp, colored pencils, and pens. Historic photos of the Lāhāina Banyan Tree will be on display, and fun fact storyboards will be available to view. At 1 pm, a birthday cake will be cut and distributed to attendees. Following at 2 pm, free kalo plants will be given away. (limited supply).

Celebrate Earth Day

There are a few events happening for Earth Day on Saturday, April 22. The Sunflower Farm Music Fest in support of Hawaii’s Food Security will feature an incredible lineup of musicians from 9 am -5 pm. The Maui Ocean Center is hosting an Earth Day event with face painting, children’s games, and ocean-themed activities (with a special $10 Kaaima rate!). Live Green at Maui Mall Village from  10 am – 12 pm where there will be a free potting workshop to “make and take”, while supplies last, plus live entertainment by Jason Tepora and the Maui Community Band. Finally, this coming Wednesday, April 26th UH Maui and Huliau Foundation will be hosting their rescheduled Earth Day event. The event is open to the public and will highlight educational, career, and volunteer opportunities at UHMC and with sustainability groups island-wide.
