Pumpkin Patch Fun
The Kula Country Farms Pumpkin Patch opens on October 1st and we can now declare that Fall has officially arrived! Choose from a beautiful variety of pumpkins and gourds, take advantage of adorable photo opportunities, and find local goods at the Farm Stand. Due to limitations on capacity, we suggest planning a weekday morning—perfect during Fall Break for some. Nature Adventure Camp
Climate change has been a hot topic in current environmental news. But what’s all the fuss about? How does global warming work and what does that mean for our future? At Nature Adventure Camp with the Hawaii Nature Center, come and spend the week gaining a deeper understanding of climate literacy and discussing positive solutions to this global problem. Kids can go tech-free and high touch in nature in this five-day program held from 8 am to 3 pm and led by expert environmental educators who specialize in outdoor exploration with hands-on education. Feeling Artsy at Camp Kaluanui
Registration for Fall Break Camp is now open at the Hui No’eau. Camp will run October 5-9 from 9am-2pm with two groups for youth ages 6-10. Campers will paint, construct, sculpt, draw, and play their way through exciting art activities throughout the week. huinoeau.com/camp-kaluanui
Butterfly Farm Tour
The Butterfly Farm is re-opening for tours on Oct 15th and is now accepting online reservations. Now located at 812 Olowalu Village Road in Olowalu, guests will learn about the lifecycle of the butterfly and visit with live butterflies in their walk-in butterfly flight house. From Screen to Sea
Pacific Whale Foundation’s pilot virtual program earlier this year was such a success, they are now offering Ocean Camp: From Screen to Sea, Oct. 5-9, an educational program for Maui first- through fifth-graders featuring both virtual and in-person ocean engagement. Centered around the theme,“When You Wish Upon a Sea Star,” the week-long session includes daily live-streaming science lessons, team-building games, and other activities, expressive crafts, and nature-based inquiry.
