STAND FOR CHILDREN CELEBRATION AND RALLY
The 16th Annual Stand for Children Celebration and Rally will be held Saturday, September 17th, 2011 at the Queen Ka’ahumanu Center from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. This event sponsored by Maui Family Support Services brings attention and support to the children and families of our communities. The event is free, featuring entertainment, fun activities and early childhood information.
Community agencies provide informational tables and special children’s activities to create an informal and enjoyable atmosphere in which the public can easily ask questions and learn about community programs and resources available to children and families.
The National Stand for Children Campaign began in l995 in Washington, D.C., advocating for child care, schools and other essential programs that give children a fair chance in life. Maui Family Support Services is pleased to coordinate this event in conjunction with other human service agencies, children’s programs, entertainers and local businesses. All are invited!
