Mayor Alan M. Arakawa

Raising a family is one of the most stressful and rewarding jobs in the world. Every moment is precious, so every little bit we can do to make things easier is priceless.

The County offers many ways to make life a little simpler by paying bills and accessing information online. Instead of waiting in line at Mayor plants Pinwheelsthe DMV, you can renew your vehicle registration, pay your property taxes and buy bus passes online.

Our County website, www.mauicounty.gov, has received numerous awards, most recently a 2013 Sunny Award for transparency in government websites. This award recognized our efforts to share public information that empowers citizens and keeps government accountable to the people.

Ann and I have raised two daughters and cared for both our parents for 25 years, so I have a deep appreciation for the challenges we all face in caring for our families. I hope you can take advantage of the County’s many online services. Have a happy and safe summer!
