The Run Forest Run Front Street Mile and 5k/10k is just around the corner, on September 15th.
Both the 5k/10k start at 8am in front of Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. Both events are out and back courses and flat. Medals will be given out to the top 3 finishers for each age category. This is a great morning race, right on old Front Street. You don’t want to miss this.
After the 5k/10k are done, we will begin the Front Street Mile at 10am. The Mile has been around for 18 years and has been an island favorite for kids, locals and tourists alike. Medals for all finishers in this event. And if you’re doing the 5k/10k, you can do the mile too. Sign up for both. This is an out and back course that starts in front of Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. This narrow street gets crowded for this event, which makes it very epic to watch. This is open to everyone of any age and any skill level. Come out and just have some fun. We expect over 700 people running these events, so sign up as soon as possible to reserve your spot.
*Also the Mile event is a Hawaii State Championship event, so special medals will be given out to the State Champions in 4 categories. So if you’re a Hawaii Resident, it makes it more fun. This will be the first time we will be contesting a state title. So this is a great time to come out for this event. Open, Masters(40+), Grand Master(50+), and Senior Masters(60+). State title awards will go to residents of Hawaii only, even though out of state runners will be competing in the same race. And yes, if you’re out of state, you can still run the mile, you just will not be eligible for the State Championship Medal. However, you will get a finishers medal.
