This fourth annual event features Maui’s premiere chefs coming together to support school gardens and inspire our future farmers, chefs, teachers, scientists, and community leaders. Talk Story & Hula Lessons with Kahu Dane Maxwell and ‘Ohana

Hear from Maui Ocean Center’s Hawaiian Cultural Advisor Kahu Dane Maxwell. At 11:45am, Kahu Dane Max- well and ‘Ohana (family) will conduct a talk story session and hula lesson at the end of the Open Ocean exhibit tunnel. Schedule subject to change. Appropriate for all ages.

Join a Wet Naturalist at the Tide Pool and/or Discovery Pool for a hands-on presentation about Hawaii’s marine invertebrates! A marine naturalist will conduct the presentation from within the exhibit, allowing guests to see, touch, and learn about sea stars, sea cucumbers, urchins, and more.
