Papini Playhouse is an after school music and dramatic arts program. Students sing, learn about and play a variety of instruments, and play dramatic arts games. The final day, Oct. 29th, students perform a musical dramatic arts show for an audience. Multiple art projects include instrument making, as well as prop, costume, and set design. All students create and keep a giant puppet.

This class is an introduction to the basics of photography: composition, lighting, color, aperture, and shutter speed. Students will experiment with different genres of photography, such as portrait, nature, and abstract. They will also be introduced to basic photo editing using iPhoto.
Painting I

In this class, students will develop their painting skills. Using mostly tempura and acrylic paint, students will practice color mixing, color theory, composition, and observational painting. This class is great for both beginner and intermediate painters.

Explore a world of possibilities with lost wax casting as you learn to turn sculpted wax designs into wearable works of art. You will use traditional wax carving tools, discover the proper way to set up your designs with sprues, and invest them in fine jewelers plaster. See how the most intricate of details will show, as your wax designs are replaced with molten metal. Brass metal will be included with lab fee and silver will be available for purchase.
