The Department of Education has decided to continue distance learning through the end of the 2019-2020 school year, May 29th. Mayor Victorino is also expected to announce an extension of the stay-at-home directive into May, possibly to the end of the month. 2020 Virtual Maui Earth Day
The 23rd Annual 2020 Maui Earthday Festival has been transformed into a virtual event with 30 live presenters and 20 live musicians! It will happen live online on Sunday, April 26th, 2020 from noon to 7 pm using Zoom and Facebook Live. Go to www.MauiEarthDay.org for links.
Hands on Maui
If you find yourself unemployed or with time on your hands, Mayor Michael Victorino is encouraging residents to get involved by visiting the County of Maui Volunteer Center’s website at HandsOnMaui.com and register as a volunteer. Be a role model for keiki, help with food drives, or offer care for animals and kupuna.
Maui Food Drive & Volunteer Signup Drive in Kihei
On Saturday, April 25th from 9am-noon the Maui Surfrider Foundation, Hawaii Wildlife Fund, and Love the Sea are hosting a food drive in front of Hope Chapel in Kihei. Following all health protocols, they will collect donations directly from your car. Learn More.
Seabury Hall Commencement
Seabury Hall will hold its commencement ceremony for the class of 2020 on Saturday, June 25, at 10:30 am at the school’s Olinda campus. Seabury Hall will adhere to social distancing guidelines and rules that will be in place on Maui to determine the size, scope, and final scheduling of the event. Learn More.
