Hoʻolauleʻa o Kamehameha provides a unique opportunity to visit the Kamehameha Schools Maui Campus and participate in a variety of experiences. There’s an element of Hawaiian culture in every offering at the event! Enjoy pule, oli, mele and hula in the performances of the high schools’ Hawaiian Ensemble, the middle kapa smallschool ‘ukulele groups and the guest halau providing entertainment; satisfy taste buds and sample a Hawaiian plate (kalua pig, chicken long rice, lomi salmon, and haupia) and other local dishes in the Food Court; purchase handmade Hawaiian items from the Country Store and the Silent Auction venues; and watch cultural demonstrations of poi pounding, design stamping (kapa), feather lei, and Hawaiian games. Flowers, plants, keiki games, rummage, and local vendors will also be on site so there is definitely something for everyone! April 16, 2016 at 270 Aapueo Parkway in Kula, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Free admission and lots of parking.
