Free “Family Fun Day” in Kahului to Connect Families with Keiki Resources and Local Flavor
KAHULUI, HI — August 16, 2025 — Maui families with young children are invited to a lively, family-focused event blending resources, culture, and keiki fun at the MFSS Family Fun Day, happening Friday, August 16 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at 635 Hina Avenue in Kahului.
Hosted by Maui Family Support Services, Inc. (MFSS) and funded through the Preschool Development Grant Birth through Five (PDG B-5), the event is designed to help families with young children connect to vital community resources — all while enjoying an afternoon of free keiki activities, local food, and community celebration.
Highlights Include:
Free cotton candy, waffle dogs, face painting, balloon twisting, and cookie decorating for kids (while supplies last)
Bouncers and interactive resource booths with games and giveaways
Local food for purchase from Maui favorites:
Fiyah Foods, Unreal Boba, Kaeo Kine Grindz, Street Tacos, WaiLemi, Gracie’s Goodies, and more
Mom-owned business vendors with handmade goods and treats (vendor spaces are now full)
“It’s really more than just a fun event—it’s a chance for families to enjoy time together while connecting with early childhood programs and resources in our community,” says Luana HueSing-Ammasi, Project Director of PDG B-5 at MFSS. “We want parents to leave feeling supported and encouraged, and to know what’s available to help their keiki grow strong and thrive.”
The event is free to attend, with free parking available on-site.
