3rd Annual Trucker Dukes Memorial Dive: Keiki Spearfishing Tournament & Invasive Roundup

Join UVSC to help control invasive species of fish in Hawaiʻi and raise life-saving funds to help families fighting cancer. This unique fundraising event consists of an invasive species roundup and spearfishing tournament that helps to protect our precious marine resources and raise awareness for supportive cancer care and resources provided by UVSC. The overall goal is to remove as many roi, ta’ape and to’au as possible from Hawaiian waters in the time allotted. All funds raised will go directly to UVSC’s mission of supporting families fighting cancer with their out-of-pocket cancer-related medical costs and essential needs.
This event is FREE to the public to attend as spectators; cost of entry is $100 per team. Fun and educational activities will be provided by community organizations and sponsors for keiki and attendees. Spectators and community members can also participate in UVSC’s silent auction featuring a variety of items and gift certificates to Mauiʻs best restaurants and shops.
This event honors and celebrates Trucker Dukes “big, little life” as his mom, Shauna, describes it. Trucker Dukes was UVSCʻs first Hero and beneficiary of our Financial Assistance Program, who continues to inspire us to support and uplift families in our community that are facing cancer.
