Perhaps you prefer a community center, home, church or even the beach. Any place that fits your needs and allows your guests to feel comfortable will work.
Next, you may want to pick a theme. Search Pinterest for ideas that speak to your heart and your family’s values. It’s a special, almost sacred time as you bless your baby, so finding a theme that coincides with the mood you want to set is a must.
Then you will want to create a timeline for the gathering. Questions to consider: Will you be baptizing your baby? Will you have an officiant for special readings? Will you simply ask friends and family to speak? Will you write your own pledge to the baby? This is your family’s day, so make it one that reflects you.
