On Easter Sunday, April 1st, Imua Family Services will host the first annual Color Festival Hawaii. Color festivals originated in India and are an ancient traditional festival which celebrates inclusion and diversity of life along with the arrival of spring and the passing of winter. In recent years, Color Festivals have spread around the world, from New Zealand, to Europe and the United States, and have evolved into music festivals and include the throwing of powdered colors.
Color Run 5k races have also gained in popularity. Imua’s Color Festival promises to be an exciting and unique island event with great bands, DJ’s and live performers suitable for the whole family.
Admission for children 5 & under is free. This family-friendly fun event will take place at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center from 1:00 – 5:00 PM. Tickets will be on sale at MACC box office on February 1st.
