STEAM Camp: Animation!

Create Stop-Animation teamwork projects with Macs. Enhance your animation skills with MIT’s SCRATCH programming language. Included: Warrior Chess, Magic Tricks, Graphics/Art Careers and more!
STEAM Camp: Whoosh! 
M-F, June 13-17 • 8:30AM-4:00PM
Grades: 4-7
Cost: $329
Classes: Fun flying investigations of air-powered rockets, paper airplanes, parachutes and other objects. Air Pressure? Angles? Flight Paths? You be the scientist. Included: Warrior Chess, Minecraft—craft your own digital world with team members; Storytelling with Fingerpuppets and Spray Paint Art, Flight Careers and a surprise or two!
CURSIVE KID CAMP 
June 20-24, M-F 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m
Grades: 4-8
Cost: $239
Learn the cursive alphabet (lower case & most capitals) in fun ways, your signature and practice fluid writing in sentences. Included: Cooking Math, Warrior Chess & Cookie Decorating.
STEAM CAMP: I Can Fly!
June 27-30, M-Th 9:00 am-2:00 pm
Grades: 8-12

What does it take to be a Pilot? Navigator? Astronaut? Air Traffic Controller? Plane Mechanic? What can I solo at age 16? Learn about the laws of science behind “flight”, discover what makes common toys fly with hands-on activities, how to talk on radios using the phonetic alphabet and build self confidence through aeronautical themed games in preparation for a career or just plain fun! Your instructors will be Maui County’s 76th Composite Squadrom Civil Air Patrol staff and students. The week will culminate in a field trip to the CAP building at Kahului airport where you will gain experience in a flight simulator. Guest Speakers will include a Pilot, A&P mechanic, and more. Includes: Spray Paint Art Class. Don’t miss this unique opportunity—a week unlike any on Maui—who knows where your imagination will take you. Last day of class, Thursday, 6/30, will be an all day field trip to Civil Air Patrol headquarters behind the Air Traffic Control tower at Kahului Airport.
