46TH ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY MAKAWAO PANIOLO PARADE AND MAKAWAO RODEO

This year’s parade theme is  “Nānā I Ke Kumu” and translates to Look to the Source.

Saturday, July 2nd, 2011 at 9:00 am Makawao Town Baldwin Ave & Makawao Ave-for the Parade

The patriotic parade runs from the Veteran’s Cemetery to the Eddie Tam Community Center. Support Makawao School’s “Fundraiser for Technology” by parking in the school playground for the Makawao Rodeo Parade for $3 or by purchasing a mug or recycle bag from the Makawao Elementary School booth!

The Rodeo competitions commence on Saturday, July 2, at 1 p.m., and again on Sunday, July 3rd, at the same time.The Makawao Rodeo is at the Oskie Rice Arens which is located off of Olinda Road. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 seniors/students and kids can enjoy the fun for just $5!

Enjoy barrel racing, calf roping, bareback bronco riding and rodeo clowns! There will also be live music, country western dancing and some hearty cowboy fare for all!
