2ND ANNUAL “TEEN EXPO” SUMMER KICKOFF SCHEDULED AT BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF MAUI – CENTRAL CLUB
“FIELD OF THE FUTURE” FRIDAY, MAY 25, 2012

Boys & Girls Clubs of Maui, in partnership with the County of Maui, Kiwanis International and Toni Rojas Events are excited to announce the second Teen Expo to be held on Friday, May 25, at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Maui –Central Kahului Club “Field of the Future”. It is open to all County of Maui teens and their families.
“Our first year was such a great success, we just had to ask our sponsors to help us make it happen again. This year we have scheduled it the day after public school gets out and have rightfully named it “Summer Kickoff”. We are expecting over 3,500 teens to attend. There is such a huge gap in services for teens in Maui County. So many people got on board to help, it’s been really exciting. I know it will be a fun, informative, positive day for our teens,” said Kelly Pearson, Director of Operations for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Maui. Through the planning process it has grown to be a way to link teens and their families to healthy, wholesome products and services, with emphasis on prevention of teen underage drinking and character building.

Designed for teens 13-20 the event will run from 11:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.
Featured entertainment is Maui’s own EKOLU with opening by Josh Tatofi! There will also be door prizes , Roselani ice cream eating contest, Donut Eating Contest, and other fabulous entertainment. Food booths and teen-friendly product and service providers will be on hand.
