Brain Health is important to everyone, regardless of age. Activities that encourage brain health and growth in childhood continue to do so in later life. And now that we are living longer, brain health is even more important.

So what do you know about building and maintaining your brain? Are crosswords really going to keep you from developing dementia? Will specific supplements stop the progression of Alzheimer’s? How does lifelong learning impact your brain?

On the Fourth Thursday of each month from noon to 1pm in the Community Services Building on UHMC campus, the Alzheimer’s Association Aloha Chapter and the University of Hawaii Manoa Cooperative Extension take an in-depth look at specific research based activities that have been shown to build brain reserve and reduce dementia risk.
