June 3 & 4 | Free admission

Travel back in time 125 years as we honor the heritage of the Holy Ghost Church’s Feast, a tradition born from the generosity of Queen Elizabeth of Portugal. The shape of the Kula church, built by the Portuguese who settled there in the 19th century, is said to represent the eight-sided crown of the queen.

Celebrating the old and the new, come enjoy a special historical pop-up museum (new this year), featuring past Queens, story telling and timelines on display. The annual event includes a livestock auction, a live auction, entertainment by Frank De Lima and Napua Greig-Nakasone (plus others), games, a keiki zone, baked goods, ono food, a farmers’ market, jams and jellies, flowers and plants, crafts and more. The complimentary Queen’s Meal will be served on Sunday from 11am to 12:30pm.

The event is free to the public. The historic octagonal church is located at 4300 Lower Kula Road in Waiakoa, Kula. Follow us on Facebook for updates: Facebook.com/HolyGhostFeastKula
